Position Description
Diesel/Heavy Equipment Lead MechanicLooking for a qualified Mechanic to service heavy equipment, tractors and trailers operating in the San Antonio, Seguin, Laredo & Eagle Ford area.
Lead Diesel Mechanic with general experience with tractors and trailers & Heavy equipment experience .
Duties include but are not limited to:
Manage mechanics
Assist drivers with daily pre-trips
Conduct on-site inspections
Adjust brakes
Change tires
Replace lights on trailers
Replace trailer connection lines
Audit equipment for DOT compliance
All candidates must be able to:
Must possess a valid CDL license.
Arrive at assigned location on time
Work 8-12 hour shifts
Some overnight stays may be required
Work weekends and holidays if required
Must be a able to lift 50 lbs
Must be able to work outdoors in extreme environments.
Must be able to pass a pre-employment medical screening
Must be able to pass drug screening
Must be able to pass background screening
Must be able to work independently.
Good communication skills.
Follow orders and maintain discipline
Work safe at all times
Follow company safety policies and adhere to company safety program
Company pick-up and tools provided
